Slept Through the Night!

Daddy and I can't believe it!!! Although you have been sleeping in 4-5 hour increments, you slept from 11:30pm (4/28) until 7:08am (4/29)!!!! WOW!!! Thank you for giving us 7+ hours of sleep!!!!! We are so proud of you!!!!

Weight Check-in at Almost 7 wks!

Today we (you and me) had lunch with Auntie Jill at Max & Erma's! YUMMY!!! Auntie Jill gave you a gorgeous pink sweater with a brown "H" on it! Can't wait for you to wear it!!! After lunch, I took you to get weighed in at St. Elizabeth, as you had not been weighed in 2 wks, and your next drs. appt is in 2 wks. Today, you weighed 10lbs 3oz!!!

Sleeping Better!!

Last night (4/25), we found out that Aunt Margo & Uncle Jared are going to have a baby around Nov. 1st!! You're going to be a big cousin!!!! We can't wait for Baby Kozinn's arrival.

Also, we have continued doing the carseat in the crib method, and it has been working great!!!! Last night (4/25), you went to sleep at 9:45pm and did not wake up until 4:00am. I fed you, and then you went back to sleep until 8:00am today!!!

Hopefully we'll have a good night tonight!!!

You are 6 wks old today!!

Happy 6 wk Birthday, Hailey Boo!!!

Daddy and I can't believe that you're already 6wks old! Tonight we celebrated your birthday with friends, Scott & Jessie Rohrkemper and their daughter (your new friend), Ada Marie!! We went to Montgomery Inn, and although you could not eat the ribs, we know that you'll enjoy it in years to come!!

Tomorrow, your Auntie Laura is coming to visit you!!!

Almost 6 wks old!!

Tomorrow (4/23) you will be 6 wks old! Daddy and I can't believe it! You're growing so much, too, and eating A LOT!! The doctor told us to increase the amount of formula we give you from 3oz to 4oz! It took you a little while to eat that much, but man are you gulping this stuff down!! :) Daddy and I are also giving you Mylicon drops because your tummy is still a little upset, and although we don't think the Gripe Water that we're also giving you does anything, you really like the taste!!

Another thing that daddy and I are trying with you is the carseat in the crib method of sleep training. You know what?? It's working!!! The past 3 nights, you've been able to sleep about 3-4.5 hours straight!!!!! You're only getting up about 1x per night. Although you still have some trouble falling back asleep, this is a GREAT improvement!!!

We skyped last night with Grandma/Grandpa Rosen! You were a little fussy, but they were so excited to see you! I wish you were able to see them sooner, but we'll see them in May for Memorial Day!!

You're going to meet your Auntie Laura this weekend! She's one of my my best friends, and she is so excited to meet you!!!

1mo Check-up!!

Today you had your 1-mo check up at the doctor's office. You weighed 9lbs 6oz and were 21.5in long!!!! You are certainly growing. Grandma (my mommy) and I talked to the doctor about how you have been crying a lot more, and mostly in the middle of the night when you should be sleeping. The doctor thinks you may have the dreaded, "COLIC!" Unfortunately, there is no easy fix for Colic - may have to just ride it out - EEEK!!! I get really sad when you cry because I can't figure out what you want, especially when you've been fed and changed. Daddy and I will try anything to make you feel better, so please know we love you very much and are trying!!!

Your grandpa (my daddy) is coming to visit tonight!
He hasn't seen you since you left the hospital. He will be amazed at how much you've grown!

Finger Sucking and Much, Much More

Today (4/13/10), mommy caught you sucking on your thumb for the first time!!!! Grandma (my mommy) also caught you sucking on the 2 middle fingers that your daddy used to suck when he was a baby!!! SO CUTE! You are definitely daddy's little girl!

You also rolled over...AGAIN!! You're growing up too quickly - SLOW IT DOWN!!! Soon you'll be crawling and walking...we just can't believe it!

For lunch today, grandma and I took you to meet Auntie Jill, and our friend, Tricia, at the Kenwood Country Club. You're already dining in style!!!

Tomorrow you go for your 4-wk check up - Not sure how much you weigh, but I think you've hit the 9lb mark!

You're 4 Weeks!!!

We can't believe it...you're 4 weeks already!! How time has flown!!

Unfortunately, you're still struggling with your days and nights, not giving daddy and me much sleep. :( Grandma (my mommy) has been reading book after book trying to find the key to getting you to sleep more regularly.

Today, you had a really great day!! You finally fell asleep around 5:00am. You had a very good morning and took a nap, waking up around 10:20am. We took you out to breakfast and you were SO good (as usual). Then, we took you for a little walk - you slept the whole time!!! While we were out, grandma was out shopping for you. She bought you such cute outfits - we can't wait to dress you in them!!

This week, you have your 4-wk check up at Dr. Warner's office. I wonder how much you'll weigh. A little over a week ago, you weighed 8lbs 6oz. I wonder if you'll be over 9lbs!?!?!?!? You're growing up too quickly - SLOW DOWN!! :)

Showing You Off!!

Today (April 6, 2010), I had a dermatology appt. Last time I was at the dermatologist's office, I was 4 months pregnant with you and was told to bring you to the next appt (6 mo later). So, following doctor's orders, grandma (my mommy) and I brought you into the appt.

Everyone at the dermatologist's office thought you were so cute (as you are!!), and couldn't believe your head of hair!! I didn't time the appt very well because you were REALLY hungry towards the end, so grandma fed you a yummy bottle in the waiting room.

Later today, you'll visit with my friend, Kris! Kris has twin boys, however; don't get any ideas...daddy has made it clear that you're not allowed to date!!! I second that motion!!!! :)

3+ Wks and New Visitors!!!

Today is April 4, 2010 - Easter Sunday. Your Aunt Heather is still visiting, although she has to go back home today. Last night you met your Uncle Jared, Aunt Margo and Cousin Beasley.
You have so many people that love you, and love visiting you!!! You are such a lucky little girl!!!

You turned 3 wks old on April 2, 2010. We can't believe that you're already 3 wks old!! Mommy, Grandma (my mommy) and Aunt Heather took you to St. Elizabeth on April 2to do a weight check. Surprisingly, you weighed 8lbs 6oz!!! I guessed that you weighed 8lbs 3 oz - I secretly want you to stay little FOREVER!!!!! Aunt Heather guessed 8lbs 5oz and your grandma guessed your exact weight!!!

UPDATE: Daddy received a call from your pediatrician about the thyroid retest - ALL NEGATIVE!!! :) We were concerned that you had to redo this test, but are so grateful and thankful that the results came back 100% fine!

Another UPDATE: The past few days have been much better re: putting you on a schedule! Daddy and I are taking shifts during the night, and you seem to be getting the hang of sleeping in your crib. You are taking longer naps, and seem to be eating, then napping in between feedings!!
