Signed Up for Swimming Classes!!

Yesterday I signed you up for swimming classes!! It's going to be so much fun. A girl that I work with is taking her 2 daughters, so maybe you'll make a friend or two! :) Classes are on Saturday mornings at 8:30am. Your first class is 10/16/10. I think daddy is off that weekend, so hopefully he can come with us! One of us will be in the pool, while the other films! CLEARLY, we need this on film. Although you've been in the water before, this will be your first "instructional" lesson! You seem to like splashing/kicking in the tub. I am hoping to make daddy be the one to have you go under water. I know it will upset you (which will in turn upset me!).

Stay-at-Home Day with Grandma Betsy & Auntie Jill!!

Today you are playing at home with Grandma Betsy and Auntie Jill!!! I bet you're having so much fun! I think Grandma Betsy was going to try to give you some oatmeal and peaches for breakfast - YUMM!!! You haven't gone POOP in 2+ days!!! I gave you some prunes before you went to bed last night, so I am hoping that might move things around for you. You may be all bound up, poor thing!!

I'm about to come home for lunch so I can visit with you!! I'm so excited!

UC Game & Mama

Yesterday (9/25/10), we took you to your 1st UC Bearcats game (well, you actually were in my belly at a game last year).
Note to self - 6mo old babies should not go to games!!! You actually did great, BUT, everytime someone scored, people would scream/cheer, and this scared you. :( We all took turns leaving the game, to rock you to sleep. :( Poor thing.
You were SO tired that you fell asleep on daddy while walking to the car - it was so cute!


Also this weekend, you said "mama." You said it once on the 25th of Sept, and then again today!! LOVED IT!!!!!! We went to daddy's hockey game tonight - they won!! You did great! Christy Taylor, Grant's mom, held you most of the game. I think she liked you. ;) After the game, you went to Montgomery Inn - YUM!!!

Now you're sleeping!!!!!! Sleep well buttercup!

28 weeks!!!

Yesterday you turned 28 wks!!! Grandma & Grandpa Kozinn are in town because it's daddy's birthday, but also to see you (OF COURSE!!). Grandma Betsy, daddy and I took you to your drs. appt yesterday. You had to get more shots (makes me sooooo sad to hear/see you cry!!), but we have to keep you healthy - it's a necessary evil!! You weighed in at a whopping 17lbs 4oz and have grown to 27.25 inches in length!!!! You're in the 70th percentile for weight, and 90th% percentile for length. AND my favorite update...the dr. said that you're quite advanced for your developmental and motor skills!!!! :)

After the drs. appt, we took you to the Cincinnati Zoo (well, to the gym in between that!!). You loved the zoo - lots of GREAT colors and animals for you to see! Next year we'll get a zoo pass so we can go all of the time!!
I think you'll appreciate it more then.

To celebrate daddy's birthday, we went to dinner at the Waterfront. It's a very fancy restaurant, but you were SO well-behaved, as usual. Everyone kept complimenting us on how well you were.Here's something funny...the restaurant had high chairs, but NO changing table in the restrooms!! SO, I had to change you on one of the cloth chairs in the bathroom, and one time, you peed a little on it!! That'll teach them not to have a changing table!! :)

Well, it's now Saturday, which means UC Bearcats game! I have your jersey, leggings and UC shoes all ready to go! You're going to look so cute!!!

Trying To Stand!

Tonight, after a much needed nap, daddy and I were watching you while you were playing on the floor. All of a sudden we both saw you trying to stand!! You pulled your legs in, and your knees weren't on the ground, but your hands were. You were almost like a wheelbarrow!

Okay...almost time for night night!!!

Almost Sitting Up!!

I forgot to post yesterday!!!

Yesterday we went to my friend, Julie's Bridal Shower. You were QUITE the hit. Everyone was so impressed with you. People thought you were older because of your demeanor and how active you are. :) After the shower, we visited daddy at the store because he was working. We walked around Target for nearly 2 hours!!!! I bought you a Halloween costume - a flower! It's not the one I wanted, but I waited too long and the bumblebee costume was sold out - EVEN online!! So, you will be a flower,
which is appropriate because you were born in March (almost in Spring), and make me so happy, like a flower! :)

Later that night, I was taping you. When I watched what I had taped, I noticed that you almost sat yourself up!!! You have this new move where you bend your knee under your other leg, and this time when you did that, you kind of leaned yourself up and almost ALMOST sat yourself up!!!

Okay...MUST LEAVE WORK!!! Can't wait to see you!

A new move!

Today, while playing on the floor, I noticed a new move. You were crawling/scooting, but then you would take your right leg, and swoop it underneath your other leg/tummy. I've seen other babies crawl sideways with that move, so I wonder if that's how you'll start REALLY crawling.

Alright...time for Hailey & mommy movie time - "Monster-In-Law" (LOVE THIS MOVIE!!)

27wks!!

Today you are 27wks!! You spent the day with me, which I love!!! We started the day off by going to the gym, then we went to Target (of course), Babies R Us, the mall (of course), and then took Honey to her vet appt. You were so good, but didn't take a nap so when we went out to dinner with Donna & Keith Howorka, you were a little fussy. No problem getting you to bed, though. A little bottle, and out you go! :)

Next week, Grandma Betsy & Grandpa Marc are coming into town. You have your doctor's appt on Fri. 9/24, which is also daddy's birthday!!!! He's taking the day off to spend with us. I think we'll take you to the zoo after your appt!!

Peaches!!

Tonight we tried peaches and oatmeal. I think this might have been your favorite meal yet.

Tomorrow, I'm off work, so we're going to go to gym so you can see your friends (and mommy can try to flatten her tum tum), and then we might walk around the mall and WINDOW shop. Then, at 3:00pm, we have to take Honey to get her annual vaccines...eeek!!

Prune Oatmeal - Mmm!!

You tried oatmeal with prunes mixed in again tonight. I think you liked it - you were shoveling it in your mouth - so funny!! This stuff is messy...AND smelly, when it comes out the other end! Haha! You had quite the diaper!! I gave you prunes last night thinking you'd make a nice little surprise in your diaper for daddy, but nope, you left it all for me! Thanks! Haha!!

Well, you're sleeping now, so I think I'll go do the same! Daddy goes in late tomorrow, so you guys get to spend lots of time together!

Oatmeal & Prunes

Tonight we tried some new foods: Oatmeal & Prunes. Although you didn't seem to mind either, I think you were in a bit of a funk. Maybe it's the high chair, but were a little fussy after a few minutes.

You're currently on the floor, crawling/scooting around, making all sorts of crazy, high-pitched sounds. You are so funny!!! Daddy is upstairs vacuuming...I suppose I should pretend I'm doing some kind of house chore, too.

How about we stay up and play!!!??? Just kidding - time for bed, my dear!

Big Girl Stroller & High Chairs!

Today we both took you to the gym so you could play with your friends, and daddy and I did some cardio and an ab class!!!! OUCH! Then, daddy went with Uncle Timmy to the UC game, and we walked the mall - imagine that!!

Instead of popping the carseat in the stroller, I decided to just put you in the big part of the stroller!
It was GREAT! You could lay a little inclined, or completly flat! I'm a big fan of it.

When we got home, we watched UC beat Indiana State, and I put your high chair together. Thought we'd give it a whirl today. You did great, although I need to figure out how the straps go because how I have them now, there is no way that it will work. You ate nearly an entire little container of sweet peas, which is great because I was getting worried you were over the veggies, and just wanted fruit. But nope, you scarfed it down and did great in the high chair!

Okay...time to wait for daddy and Uncle Timmy to get home. While we wait, we'll watch my school - Ohio State - beat up on those Miami Hurricanes. :)

Tonight we tried pears! You LOVED them, and you know what??? I tried them too, and it was soooooo good!! Hopefully you'll still eat the veggies!!

My Little Sweet Pea Likes Sweet Peas!!

Daddy went into work late today, so you got to spend a half day with him. He called me and said that you were basically crawling clear across the room, and he luckily got it on video!!!!! I can't wait to show you all of the videos we have taken of you since you were born! I love watching them.

You were a little fussy tonight, but still continue to crawl/scoot around and say "da da." I also had you try a new food tonight - sweet peas! Although you didn't mind it, I don't think it's one of your favorite foods. It's no sweet potato! :)

Well, you're sleeping now and I'm just waiting for daddy to get home from work. Sleep well, angel!

Squash & "Da Da"

We've been trying squash this week, and you seem to like it. No side effects to any foods that you have tried, which is great!!

Auntie Laura came to visit you today! You have really loved having her here. She makes you giggle!!

While shopping, Laura said, "did she just say, 'da da'"?
We then listened closely, and sure enough, you said 'da da' repeatedly!!! I just can't believe it. You may not know what it means, but you're definitely saying it.

Slow down, little girl!!! Let me enjoy this time!

6-month Weight Check!!!

Today you are OFFICIALLY 6 months, so of course we had to get a weight check. Today you weighed 16lbs6oz and have grown to 27-inches!!!! You are getting so big - SLOW DOWN little girl!!!!

After your weight check, I took you shopping to celebrate! :) I bought you a bumble bee pillow pet.

You LOVE it!!! I also bought you your 1st Halloween costume from Target, naturally. It was either a ladybug or a monkey suit! Although you're my little monkey, I had to get the ladybug because it was cuter, AND Honey Bunny has a ladybug costume, too!!

Daddy is working late tonight, but he'll be home tomorrow night and Sunday night to spend time with us. Your Auntie Laura is coming to visit on Sunday for Labor Day! She will be amazed at how much you've grown.

Crawling??????

You've been making these small little movements all week, and tonight I watched you scoot/crawl about a foot and a half towards my laptop...this laptop that I'm actually typing on right now. There is something about the laptop that just draws you. I don't know if it's the lights? Or, if it's the buttons. I may pick you up a toy laptop tomorrow because you love mine so much!

You're getting so strong. You roll around so quickly, and can get yourself on all fours like you've been doing it all your life!

Okay...must run...you're SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!!! Let's get you in the bath and then to night night!!!

Mmm carrots!!

Last night (8/31/10), you tried carrots for the first time. I was a little worried that you wouldn't like it because it smelled SO GROSS, but to my surprise, you LOVED it. Actually, I'm not terribly surprised. You haven't disliked anything that you've tried so far. I don't think you are crazy about the rice cereal, but I wouldn't be either...it doesn't have much of a taste!

Daddy is off work today, so you get the spend the entire day with him again! He worked an overnight shift last night, so you got to spend the day with him then too. I think you two went to the gym - they love you there!!!

I have to meet daddy at school tonight because although he is off work, he has to go to school. I have to leave work early and come get you, but glad to do it! It's my favorite part of the day - seeing you when I leave work!
