A Birthday Party & Baby Shower!!!

Today we were SOOOOO busy! We celebrated with your friend, Izabella, at her 4th birthday party, and then had to rush off to Aunt Jill's house for one of mommy's friend's baby showers!

You were the hit of the shower! Mommy got to visit with all of her friend from her old job. They could not believe how big you were. Last time they saw you was when you were itty bitty!! Now you're a big girl!!! You kind of were waving at people. I'm not sure it was a full blown wave hello, but you were wave your arm up and down. It was really cute.


You were SOOO good! You really weren't fussy at all, and left the doo doos (hehe!) until we got home! THANK YOU! :) You were so tired that you slept the entire way home!!! A much needed nap, of course!!


Tonight, daddy and I fixed your crib. We thought that we had put it on the lowest setting, but there was one more lower setting. You crib is as low as it can possibly go, which is good because your entire head/neck were above the front railing before. Made me REALLY nervous!!!!! I think you're sooooo tired that you're struggling to fall asleep. :( Hoping you'll be able to fall asleep soon. I know you've had a rough day, but as always, thank you for being such a good girl!!!

Playdate with Naomi!

Today we had a playdate with your friend, Naomi! She just had her 1st birthday in December, so we brought her a present. Naomi's mommy, Amanda, made lunch for the mommies, and you girls played. Actually, Naomi was sitting in her highchair eating bits of chicken and cheese. I wonder if I can try shaved chicken with you...I'll have to check with the doctor. Naomi is already walking. I don't think you're too far behind her.

"Uh Oh!"

I think you said this earlier in the week, but today (1/5/11) it was clear as day..."Uh oh!" AND the best part is, is that sometimes when we say it, you'll repeat it right after us! It's so cute! You don't know what it means but still...you're definitely learning to repeat things that people say...SO, guess we have to be careful!!!! :)

You had your photoshoot tonight...oh Hailey, were these pictures adorable!!! I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. I am hoping to use at least one of them for your 1st birthday invitation, which by the way it pink leopard print! Yep...you're a wild girl!!!!!


We are soooo busy this weekend!!! Daddy is off work this weekend, too, so there will be lots of quality family time! On Friday, we're going to visit your friend, Naomi, and then we're going to come back home and mommy's friend, Megan, and her new baby, Kaylee, is having a photoshoot at Michelle's!! On Saturday, you have your 2nd session of swimming at 9:30am! I think I'll make daddy get in the water with you like always! :) On Sunday, we have Izabella's 4th birthday party, and then have a baby shower at Auntie Jill's house at 2:00pm! BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!

Solid DOO DOO!!!

Finally...after 15 days of having diarrhea, you had your 1st solid DOO DOO!!!!! I was at work when it happened, but daddy was home with you and sent me a text. I was so excited...I almost poste something on facebook!!! We were really getting concerned that you weren't getting better, but the doctor was right...just needed to let "whatever" run its course!

Glad you're feeling better. Tomorrow you have a photoshoot with Michelle! I am hoping to use one of the pictures for your 1st birthday invite!!!!!

We May Have Turned a Corner!!

So, yesterday was the first day in a long time that you did not have a messy diaper. Today, although you did have a messy diaper, Michelle said that it was not as loose as it was before! I think this is GREAT news because I did give you a little bit of applesauce yesterday, and I gave you sweet potatoes/white beans tonight!

You also got your 2nd birthday party invitation (first of 2011)!!!! Izabella is turning 4 years old, and she is having a princess birthday party on Sunday. We have a baby shower to go to on this day, too! You'll be all partied out!!! I think we have Ada's birthday party coming up, too, in February!! How exciting! AND THEN IN MARCH, WE HAVE YOUR 1st BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

No Messy Diapers & a Big Girl Carseat!!

Grandma & Grandpa Rosen left to go back home today. (SAD FACE!!!) They had so much fun with you. I'm pretty sure you are what makes their world go round!!! You know what els??? Today was one of the first days in a long time that you haven't had a messy diaper. Nope! Just LOTS of REALLY wet ones, which is fine. I think it's from all of the Pedialyte you've had, but it's good for you - restoring any nutrients lost while having diarrhea.

Today was also the first day that we put you in your new big girl carseat!! I don't know about you, but I loved it! It's sooooo roomy, and it has 2 cupholders! It feels really soft. I hope you like it!! You know what I don't like about you being in a different carseat? I could take your old one in and out, and pop it in the stroller, but if you fall asleep in this new one, I have to wake you up to take you out. :(


Tonight you were talking up a storm. Actually this whole weekend you were talking so much. I think it had a lot to do with Grandpa's IPAD application, "Talking Tom the Cat." It is so funny. It's a kitty cat that you can talk to, and it repeats what you say. So, you can only imagine the funny things it would say because you were just talking, talking, talking!!! I downloaded it on daddy's IPAD, too, so you can talk to Tom whenever you want. I really think it will help you learn to talk.

You said a new sound tonight - "go go." You don't know what it means, but it's so funny to hear new sounds!

Still Not Feeling Better!!

Today is New Year's Day, the very first day of January in the year 2011!!! You slept in until about 8:30am - THANK YOU!! :) When you woke up, you had a messy diaper, so I gave you a bath immediately. I tried to give you mostly Pedialyte today, but this afternoon I did give you a bottle which you sucked down!!!

It's 6:30pm and you have already had 4 messy diapers. :( That's the most you've had, so we're really starting to get worried. Dr. Warner keeps saying that this normal, and sometimes the diarrhea gets worse before it gets better, but I'm not sure. Still you have no other symptoms, which makes me feel a little bit better. Daddy is going to call Dr. Warner on Monday to see if he can bring you in on Tues, and if not, he wants to get another opinion. Monday will be exactly 2 weeks that you've had diarrhea.
